Outdoor Weddings at Meadowbrook Hall in Rochester, MI are some of my favorite weddings and Meadowbrook Mansion is one of my absolute top 5 favorite places for weddings. It boasts timeless elegance and endless beauty and history. This makes it a highly sought after wedding venue. Whenever I get the opportunity to shoot a wedding here I am thrilled. Courtney and Adam had an absolutely stunning wedding too. They had all of my favorite elements in a wedding; rose gold accents, light and airy bridesmaids dresses, black bow ties and peonies everywhere! It was a modern day fairy tale!

The day started out with one of the most romantic gestures I’ve ever witnessed at a wedding! I’ve been doing this for 13 years too so I’ve seen just about everything! Adam gave Courtney a small box and a note that said that he didn’t normally keep trinkets or collect things for sentimental value but he had a surprise for her.

When she opened the box she saw every movie stub, concert ticket, event ticket and small note they had written to one another for the past 7 years. She couldn’t believe it as she pulled out a movie they saw in 2011 or a note she left him in 2015. It was like walking through their relationship one date at a time and she cried knowing just how perfect he was and how much he loved her.

The day just got better and better from there. When you’re surrounded by loving family and a hilarious group of friends how could it be anything less than perfect. We did have to dodge some rain but that only served to cool things down a bit and the Meadowbrook Hall staff was on it watching the radar for them and making sure, just moments before the ceremony, that every seat was dry so they could have the rock garden wedding they’d dreamed of.

I am so happy I was able to be a part of their wedding day! Right now they’re in Greece, those lucky lovebirds, but hopefully they’ll get a chance to see some of their sneak peeks from their wedding day!
